Deputy Head of Procurement Leicester Permanent £50,000-£52,000 Hybrid

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Leicestershire, to recruit a Deputy Head of Procurement on a permanent basis.

The organisation operates a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to be in office 2-3 days per week.

As Deputy Head of Procurement, the individual will oversee the delivery of the organisation's procurement strategy, as well as have direct influence and engagement with senior figures in the leadership team.

Role:

• Provide support/deputise the Head of Procurement in delivering the Procurement strategy across the organisation
• Lead on the development and delivery of strategic and commercial projects
• Manage the development of OJEU threshold tenders, ensuring full compliance
• Line management responsibilities for 3 members of staff
• Represent the Procurement team at national and regional events
• Engage with stakeholders frequently to understand requirements

The Individual:

• Ideally suited to a candidate with experience in the Public or Private sector
• Experience of contract and supplier management
• MCIPS Qualified
